Rustic Elegant Barn Wedding in Northern Michigan

Allyson & Dustin had an elegant and rustic barn wedding in September and it was gorgeous! Their wedding took place at their family farm in Posen, Michigan, that has been in the family for over 100 years. Allyson’s mom and sister helped her with the final touches as she got ready for the day, meanwhile Dustin was getting ready with the boys at a house right on Lake Huron! A trolley took us and the groomsmen back to the farm. The ceremony took place outside with a handmade wooden altar and custom flower arrangements. There were happy tears shed from quite a few people, including Dustin.

After the ceremony, Allyson and Dustin boarded the trolley to go to a wooded area of the property for some portraits together! The first part of the reception took place under a tent with beautiful table arrangements. Each table had wine bottles customized with their names, wedding date, and a photo of the farm on the label! After the toasts and dinner, everyone filed into the barn, where the walls were adorned with mirrors Allyson had collected. They cut the cake and since two other couples in the family shared their wedding date, they also cut individual cakes in celebration. The day ended with sharing their first dances on the dance floor and everyone danced late into the night!
