About Us

Hello! We are Kaitlin & Cody, a husband and wife team! We believe that every love story is worth telling. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and believe love is love! We also believe that everyone should have a wedding experience that speaks to who they are as a couple. As nature lovers, we get extra excited when the weddings we shoot involve the outdoors and a little bit of adventure!
We will stand in the pouring rain, trudge through mud, hike a mountain in a snowstorm, or even stand on the edge of a cliff to get you the best shot on your wedding day (we’ve done it all)! If you’re looking for a photography and videography team to capture your wedding, one that you can trust to communicate, plan ahead, show up, and do our best to get you the best photos or video possible, then reach out!

Our Story

After graduating from college, I (Kaitlin) had been traveling for different photography jobs across the country. During one winter seasonal break, I decided to get a receptionist job at a saw machine factory. Cody just so happened to be working here too, as a machinist, and after he mustered the courage to ask me out, our love story started writing itself.
After dating for a while, we decided to tie the knot, but we didn’t want the traditional wedding experience. We also didn’t want a super long engagement because we were ready to be married already, darn it! So in under three months, we planned a small destination wedding in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and invited about 30 of our closest friends and family. We also made sure to schedule enough time with our photographer to have a first look and portraits in a beautiful location the day before and then the day of took several hours for portraits in the picturesque area! Having a small destination wedding like this felt so right to us!
After getting married we realized there was more adventure waiting out there for us, so in 2020 we renovated a school bus, aka skoolie, and traveled all over the U.S. in it. From Michigan to Oregon to Florida to Arizona, we had so many crazy exciting experiences and met so many awesome people along the way! The experience of traveling cross country full time and remembering how awesome our own small wedding day was sparked a passion for weddings that combined those elements: travel, nature, small, intimate, authentic.
Now we reside in the Great Lake State, Michigan, with our cat named Bert, and we still spend 80% of the wedding season either flying or driving to elopements and destination weddings. Preserving wedding memories through photography and videography is only a fraction of what we offer to our couples. We love getting to know the couples we work with, officiating their elopements, and creating a meaningful wedding experience they will never forget!
